Must visit:

Doctors Beach is a popular playground. Ideal for families, it offers safe swimming access to a shallow, sandy beach, making it a great spot for kids to play and explore. Situated next to Discovery Parks Streaky Bay Foreshore, the playground features a large shade sail, gazebo, picnic tables, and a coin-operated public BBQ, providing everything needed for a relaxing day out. Public amenities are also available, and the area is fully fenced for children’s safety.
Whether you're stopping by for a quick play or planning a beachside picnic, Doctors Beach Playground is a must-visit family-friendly destination.

Just 8km from the town centre along a sealed road, Back Beach is a popular surf spot for both locals and visitors. With consistent reef breaks, it’s a favorite among surfers, especially in front of and north of the Back Beach car park.

Hally's Beach is a beautiful, remote beach on the Cape Bauer Loop, just a short 15km drive from Streaky Bay. It's a great spot for fishing, with anglers often catching salmon and other fish from the shore.  The beach is known for its natural beauty, with cliffs, waves, and wide open views. It's a peaceful place to visit if you enjoy nature and quiet surroundings. Swimming is not recommended due to strong currents and rough waves. Fishermen should also take care, as large waves and changing surf conditions can make fishing from the shore dangerous at times.

Perlubie Beach is 20 minutes north of Streaky Bay and offers a peaceful scenic beachfront camping experience.  Camping is on the beach only, with designated sites stretching along 600 metres of white sand. This campground is recommended for 4WD vehicles only due to the beach access.  The calm, shallow waters make Perlubie Beach perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, and relaxing strolls along the shore. It's a great destination for families and off-grid campers looking for a quiet, nature-filled escape.

Surfers Beach is a quiet and beautiful spot about 28 kilometres south of Streaky Bay. It's an easy 20-minute drive along the sealed Sceale Bay Road and is close to the small town of Sceale Bay.
